August appears to be the month for making plans. Plans for the inaugural city-wide event in Altoona, IA – Altoona Palooza. Plans for my daughters to come home to visit. Plans to have an anniversary party (15 years)! Plans to buy tickets to the Iowa State Fair – and use them all! Plans to coordinate a freelance camp in September for creative and IT freelancers.

Planning is such a time-consuming part of my days. Planning meals is probably my favorite planning task. But there are some plans that I make that never materialize. Like my plan to finish cleaning up and painting my office. I look at everything that I would have to remove and/or move to make that happen. And I immediately am out of the planning mode.
My next plan? I plan to make my planning more productive. Really. I will try my best.
